THE EXPERIENCE
This is where the work expands. Beginning with the repetition, actors develop the ability to listen truthfully, respond instinctively and work moment to moment.
From there, the training extends into crafted circumstance and increasingly alive improvisational work, eventually leading into text whilst maintaining an emphasis on contact, point of view and truthful behaviour under imaginary circumstances.
This is not about performing emotion or chasing results, it’s about building the foundation for real acting.
REPETITION TO TEXT IS THE FIRST MAJOR STEP IN THE MEISNER TECHNIQUE.
