8 WEEKS OF INTENSIVE TRAINING

This program is a distilled version of the Three Month Intensive, offering the same depth of training in a concentrated format. It provides actors with the chance to immerse themselves in Meisner’s incredible foundation exercise and accelerate their artistic growth in a focused and highly practical environment.

The Repetition to Text Intensive is designed to sharpen and deepen your experience in what is considered one of the most concrete and safest methods for learning the craft of acting. With two classed per week, you’ll stay in consistent contact with the work while maintaining flexibility for other commitments.

Wether you’re looking to build a strong foundation or reignite your craft, this program offers a proven pathway to meaningful growth in a shorter time frame.

CLASSES

The eight weeks will compromise of 2 x Technique classes per week. Students will also be expected to meet for rehearsal outside of class.

The weekly schedule will consist of the following:

  • Friday 10am - 1pm| Technique Class

  • Saturday 10am - 1pm| Technique Class

COURSE BREAK DOWN

Weeks 1 - 3 | The Repetition Exercise

  • Build the foundation of a truthful and vibrant acting instrument by cultivating an authentic and sensitised connection to your partner and your own spontaneous impulses.

  • Experience the spontaneity and freedom of working from one unanticipated moment to the next.

  • Get out of your head and learn to work from a place of dynamic ease rather than tension.

Weeks 4 - 6 | The Independent Activity

  • Understand ‘Actors Faith,’ which is the doorway to fully living in your imaginary circumstance.

  • Learn how to set up the exercise in a way that brings the actor to a rich and specific inner life.

  • Build a strong foundation by learning to craft with precision and to seek personal meaning in everything you do as an artist.

Week 7 - 8 | Text Work

  • Gain a deeper understanding of the work by experiencing how it extends into text.

  • Learn what it means to move beyond the words and into the life of true contact.

  • Experience the richness of being free, spontaneous and authentically alive within the scene.
