Free Introduction to the

Meisner Technique

Experience the foundation of great acting.

Curious about the Meisner Technique?

This free introduction class gives you the opportunity to experience one of the most respected acting training methods in the world.

Rather than talking about acting, this class allows you to experience the work directly.

You will take part in the Meisner Repetition Exercise, the foundational exercise that trains actors to listen, respond truthfully and work moment to moment.

What you will experience

In this session you will explore:

  • The importance of true listening

  • Getting the attention off yourself

  • Responding truthfully from moment to moment

  • The first steps of the Meisner Repetition Exercise

No previous acting experience is required.

Why actors train in the Meisner Technique

Acting is the ability to live truthfully under imaginary circumstances.

The Meisner Technique trains the actor’s instrument so that behaviour becomes spontaneous, truthful, and connected.

Instead of trying to perform, actors learn to respond instinctively to what is actually happening.

This training has influenced generations of actors and remains one of the most respected approaches to the craft.
